My opinions on the things that piss me off.

Dude, I love you but I don't like you very much.

First, you might as well put your name on it. No one has ever read this blog, and the fact that you posted anon about 45 mins after I added it to buzz. Come on. I know who you are, and that's cool because if it wasn't I would have you unfollowed. But I didn't. Second to say the Hatians are "cursed" and insinuate that caused an earthquake is to lead one to believe that something they did caused an earthquake. Did the Jews deserve the Holocaust? And you probably paused right there. When there is an earthquake in California, did the gays cause it? Look dude, your Old Testament god threw the smackdown. It makes for great (albiet retold) stories. They are such great stories there were told thousands of years before. However, in the end, I believe people shouldn't suffer. I believe that what we need to care for each other is here, now, inside each of us. And I don't think the (insert old book name here) is required to tap into that. I believe this country was founded on Freedom of Religion. That means you are free to yours and I am free to mine. Not that yours gets to make rules that rule me. I believe in a moral contract. That's why I don't steal, or murder. I believe bad things happen to good people, and that's sad but it's the way it goes. Sometimes good things happen to bad people. And sometimes, just sometimes good things happen to good people. When a friend dies from a bullet, old age, cancer, or birth defect, I don't think they deserved it. The problem with ALL religions is sometimes followers use their religion to do bad things, or ignore when bad things happen to other people. And when I say sometimes, I mean every major religion at one time or another. And finally I know how you feel, you know how I feel. You aren't going to convince me and I am not trying to convince you. Therefore this isnt a debate. You are being contrary for contrary sake. If we were friends and you know we don't agree, in fact we are diametrically opposed, you would corespondent with me regarding subjects you know are worth the time and effort. Instead you keep pointing out that you think I am a puppet and heathen, and I think you are a puppet and zealot. Other than that I like you.

My man.

Almost as a response to my decision to try to blog occasionally, a blast from my blogging past. Why couldn't Pat have been on a mission to save the Haitians. It's a hateful thing to wish for a hateful asshole. This is how I know there is not God. The Old Testament God punished people for idolatry and blasphemy.

CNN.com - Top Muslim clerics: Convert must die - Mar 23, 2006

Read the whole article. Does anyone need more reason to let the region implode on itself? I would like to hear from Muslims living in America on this! This is an example that holds the clarity of thought by the most moderate, and influential people in the region. I don't mean media heads. I mean the people who have influence on the masses. This sickens me. American and international soliders gave their lives to liberate these people from a barbaric control. If this is what is done with that sacrifce, take our assets out of the area. I don't want to pay my tax money to support, in any way, a country that thinks this way.

Marketplace from American Public Media

I'd like to pose a question to fellow NPR listeners out there. What in hell is going on with Kai Ryssdal? As Senior Editor of Marketplace has he deicided to let someone else take the reins of the show? Now, don't take this the wrong way, Scott, I like you. I think it's even neat how, at least to me, it seems you emulate Kai. However, there is only one Kai Ryssdal. Do I have to wait for the occasional report from China? Speaking of China, my second favorite bureau chief, Jocelyn Ford, has a wonderful voice and her stories are always engaging.

This should be pretty funny, or suck. Does anyone besides Justin read this?

Independent World Television |

I found this website today and considered the potential. I believe the current source of news especially in the US is extremely biased, on both sides, and a level alternative is required to make an informed decision on anything today. I listen to NPR on a regular basis and they do a better job than most major market media outlets, however I wouldn't consider then any more balanced than the next guy. Take a look.
